Their collective vision and dedication help Todaybreak stay responsive to the needs of the communities we serve, while continuously fostering growth and innovation.

Kirstin Butcher, Co-CEO and Executive Director

Kirstin brings over 20 years of experience in founding and growing businesses across Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Canada in her role as Founder and Co-CEO of Todaybreak. In 2017, she founded Genvis, an Australian tech company with a vision to revolutionise public safety and emergency management on a global scale.

Driven by her commitment to tech for good, Kirstin established Todaybreak to ensure nonprofits and the communities they serve are not left behind as technology continues to evolve. Her goal is to bridge the digital divide and bring innovative solutions to those who need them most.

In 2018, Kirstin conceived and led the first Safe With Milli pilot, which has now become Todaybreak’s flagship program. This initiative is tackling gender-based violence, including Intimate Partner Violence, Family and Sexual Violence, and Human Trafficking, reshaping how services respond to and support survivors. Recognized for her leadership and impact, Kirstin was named a WA Business News 40-under-40 winner and was a WA Finalist for Australian of the Year.

Brad Birt, Co-CEO and Executive Director

Brad is the Co-CEO of Todaybreak, with extensive experience leading technology projects, partnerships, and product strategy across sectors such as healthcare, higher education, and public safety in both Australia and Canada. He has founded and managed technology startups, advised governments on business cases, organizational change initiatives, and the acquisition and deployment of strategic technologies.

Brad's leadership includes serving as Director of the Metro Vancouver Transit Police in British Columbia, Canada, appointed by the Provincial Minister. With deep expertise in strategy, innovation, and technology, Brad has been at the forefront of delivering public value through technology.

He holds a BA in English (Hons), an MBA, and the PMP, AFHEA, and GAICD designations. Brad regularly presents on topics related to innovation and strategy, sharing his insights on shaping the future of public services.

Jo Feldman, Non-Executive Director

Jo brings over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of government, corporate sectors, and international organizations, with expertise spanning international trade and investment, government affairs, and regulatory and policy reform. She has worked closely with businesses and non-government organizations across diverse sectors, addressing critical issues such as supply chain risk, modern slavery, human rights compliance, sanctions, data regulation, and national security.

Jo was elected Vice Chair of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, where she played a pivotal role in facilitating the Political Declaration marking the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. She has represented Australia at the United Nations on human rights issues, as well as at the World Trade Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Jo has also chaired key intergovernmental negotiations on cross-border data movement and digital services.

Her work includes negotiating regulatory reform and market access with government officials from countries including Canada, the US, Mexico, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK, and the EU. She has also worked with governments across APAC to drive policy reform on a wide range of social and economic issues while administering government grants programs.
